Project Details

About the Project

The Southeast Gateway Line is a proposed light rail transit (LRT) line that would extend approximately 14.5 miles from Slauson/A Line Station in the City of Los Angeles/Florence-Firestone unincorporated area of Los Angeles County to Pioneer Station in the City of Artesia. The new LRT line will connect Artesia, Cerritos, Bellflower, Paramount, Downey, South Gate, Cudahy, Bell, Huntington Park, Vernon, Los Angeles, and the unincorporated community of Florence-Firestone.

This first (Advanced Works) phase consists of relocating the existing freight railroad tracks, reconfiguring street intersections to accommodate the new alignment, and other related work. The Advanced Works GM/GC Project will play a key role in paving the way for the future contract to design and construct the ultimate Southeast Gateway Line.
